Lake City is a town in Marshall County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 47 at the 2000 census. Fort Sisseton Historic State Park, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is located nearby. Lake City is located at (45.723790, -97.413936). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), of which, 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it is land and 4.55% is water.
