Middlebourne ist eine Stadt in Tyler County, West Virginia, USA. Die Bevölkerung war 870 bei der Volkszählung 2000. Es ist die Kreisstadt des Tyler County. Die Stadt wurde durch einen Erlass des Virginia-Generalversammlung im Jahre 1813 gegründet. Zwei Erklärungen für den Namen der Stadt gegeben: Einer ist, dass es auf halbem Weg wurde zwischen Pennsylvania und eine Reihe von Salzbrunnen entlang der Kanawha River stromaufwärts von Charleston entfernt, der andere ist, dass es auf halbem Weg zwischen der Quelle und der Mündung befindet Middle Island Creek, Middlebourne ist (39.493966, -80,905751) entfernt.
