L'est du Texas est une région géographique distincte et écologiques dans l'État américain du Texas. Selon le''Guide''du Texas, la région de l'Est du Texas »peut être séparée du reste du Texas à peu près par une ligne s'étendant de la rivière Rouge au centre-nord du comté de Lamar sud-ouest à l'est du comté de Limestone centrale et puis vers le sud de la baie de Galveston », même si certains zone séparée la côte du Golfe dans une région distincte. Cette zone comprend tout ou partie des 49 comtés, totalisant près de 40000 km2 et une population de près de 6 millions. Un autre populaire, un peu plus simple, la définition définit l'est du Texas que la région située entre l'autoroute 45, reliant la frontière ouest de Dallas et Houston, la frontière Louisiane comme la frontière orientale, la frontière Oklahoma comme la frontière nord, et de Galveston Bay rives de la frontière sud. La plupart de la région se compose de l'écorégion
